Thank you for the memo and your thoughts. You raise valid points, and I agree with several of them.
That said, I think we need to step back further. The concern Matthew and I raised in the meeting still needs to be addressed directly: the project is trying to solve the how before it has clearly defined the what and the who.
Before we evaluate translation versus chatbot versus social media, I believe the project needs clear answers to a few foundational questions:
What is the product, specifically? Not the mission, the product.
Who is the target user? Not broadly “people who might benefit,” but a defined and reachable customer segment.
Is there validated demand? Have we spoken with people in that segment and confirmed there is real interest?
What does success look like, and how will it be measured?
Without those answers, we are debating implementation details for a product that has not yet been clearly defined. That is the core issue from my perspective, and it wa
